Sometimes Degoo is unable to read a file or a folder you chosen to backup. Degoo will display the progress as "Unreadable". You can see this in the image below.
Why this happens
There are different reasons why this happens and it usually differs if it's a file or a folder that's unreadable.
When a file is unreadable it's often because the file is being used by another application on your computer. When an application uses a file it usually locks it. This makes it impossible for Degoo to back it up. Your file could also be unreadable because the user you are logged in as on your computer don't have read permissions to that file.
Solution to unreadable file due to file lock
If you know what application is using your file you simply quit the application when your done to unlock it. This makes the file readable to Degoo. Degoo will detect this in a few seconds an start backing it up.
If you don't know what application is locking your file you can download a lock detector to see what's locking it. You can then quit the application or unlock the file with your lock detector application if it support that. One lock detector application you can try, with also has support of removing file locks, is LockHunter for Windows, lockhunter.com.

Solution to unreadable folder due to removed folder
If you removed a backed up folder from your computer I guess there's no point in trying to back it up. Click your unreadable folder in Degoo and click "Remove from backup". If you removed your folder by mistake your folder is still backed up for 14 days before they are removed from our system. Read this 3-step guide on how to restore your files.
